The Government of the Republic of Serbia has, on its 262nd sitting, adopted the Regulation on Monitoring and Reporting of Activities of the National Infrastructure of Geospatial Data. The Decision is published in the Official Gazette of the RS, no. 91 as of 26.06.2020. and is in force as of 04.07.2020.
This Regulation closer regulates the rules for monitoring the implementation and usage of the national infrastructure of geospatial data of the Republic of Serbia (hereinafter: NSDI) and reporting to the NSDI Council on the status of implementing NSDI in accordance to the Law on National Infrastructure of Geospatial Data, in accordance to INSIPRE Directive 2007/2/EC in the Republic of Serbia.
The Republic Geodetic Authority as the National contact point conducts the work regarding gathering of data for the needs of monitoring and reporting.
The aforementioned Regulation regulates the content of monitoring activities of implementation of the NSDI and the include: indicators for monitoring, availability of geodata sets and services, compliance of geodatasets with implementing rules for interoperability, as well as for network services and reporting on results from monitoring activities of implementation of the NSDI.
The Regulation defines the content of the report on the status of implementing the NSDI which includes: correlation and assurance of quality, usage of NSDI, agreements on sharing geodata, costs and benefits of implementation with defined timeframes for updating said reports.

At its session held on December 26, 2019, the Government of the Republic of Serbia included the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) in the General Training Program for Civil Servants for 2020.
