Orthophoto is published for the six urban areas

Republic Geodetic Authority has published on national geoportal “Geosrbija” orthophoto for the six urban areas.

Under the project “National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) and Remote Sensing Center for the Republic of Serbia” orthophoto 10 cm resolution was produced for six more urban areas: Bela Crkva, Vršac, Kladovo, Niš, Ub i Šabac.

Beside geoportal GeoSrbija, data are available for viewing on the INSPIRE web portal for users from state institutions that have a access to the portal.

Orthophoto for the urban areas is produced on the basis of aerial acquisition realized in 2011 within the framework of the IGIS project. Aerial image acquisition has been performed using digital, multispectral photogrammetric camera UltraCamXp of 6 microns resolution, with forward overlap of 60% and side overlap of 30%. Georeferencing parameters for orthophoto are defined by the parameters of SRB_ETRS89/UTM reference system at the projection plane, while the mean square error of positional coordinates is ± 20 cm.

Ortophoto production for remaining urban areas is in progress and data will be published on geoportal successively.
