From 1 to 4 September 2014 in Gävle, Sweden, the workshops were held within the project “Cooperation in the Western Balkan region – Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the region of Western Balkan (IMPULS project)”
In a very good organization by Lantmäteriet, Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority, workshops were held which were attended by about 60 participants from National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies from the region of Western Balkan. Priorities and plan of implementation of the IMPULS project were discussed at the workshops.
Through the cooperation of the project team, composed from the representatives from National Agencies and Swedish experts, risks for regional use cases were determined, as well as dataset based on which, within the defined work packages, the following activities will be realized: harmonization of legal regulation regarding the usage, sharing and harmonization of data; creation of metadata and dissemination of data and services in line with INSPIRE directive.
An analysis of the risk of the IMPULS project was carried out, where all critical points were determined, to which participants of the project should pay attention in order to achieve the desired results.
Priorities of implementation of the work packages were adjusted to the current needs and priorities of National Agencies that participate in the project, in order to avoid overlapping, i.e. repeating of certain activities.
The detailed plan of implementation until the end of 2015 was also agreed at the workshops, which will be finalized and presented to the Steering committee for approval in Octobe
